Strawberry Avocado Toast

I love avocado toast just as much as any health nut but I find that sometimes I just want to dress it up and experiment a little. With Spring in full effect, I've been inspired to try a new version of the classic avo toast by adding some fresh strawberries, basil and balsamic vinegar. I love the sweet and salty combo so if you're a fan - then read on!

Avocados are one of my favourite foods as they're packed with healthy fats which help promote glowing skin, luscious hair and long nails. They're also loaded with fiber, which helps you stay full and aids in digestion so the beloved avocado makes a great addition to any meal. 

You might already be used to my unfamiliar food pairings (like my chocolate zucchini loaf or chocolate cauliflower smoothie), but as always, I can promise that the taste is phenomenal and that's why I'm sharing it with you!

 

Strawberry Avocado Toast

What You Need:

  • 1-2 slices of your favourite bread (I love rye)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2-3 fresh strawberries
  • balsamic vinegar
  • sea salt 
  • fresh basil

Toast your bread and spread a thick layer of avocado.
Add sliced strawberries, sea salt, balsamic vinegar and DON'T forget the basil!
